Our Company
TRC Timberworks & Natural Homes was founded by Tim Reilly because of his passion for timber framing and natural building techniques. Tim started woodworking as a youth, helping his father install custom cabinetry and renovate houses. After a 10 year career working in carpentry, construction, and saw milling, Tim achieved a lifetime dream and began building his own home in 2006.
Through the process of building his timber frame straw bale home, Tim’s love of working with natural materials led him to found TRC Timberworks & Natural Homes to combine his woodworking craftsmanship with other natural building methods and offer these skills to his clients. He is licensed as a Journeyman Carpenter and excited about bringing natural building elements and sustainable building practices into projects he is involved with.
Tim operates TRC Timberworks & Natural Homes with his wife, Raina Gardner. They are continually learning new methods of natural building and incorporating ecological practices and energy systems into their business and their own home. They live on a land co-operative with their son, Roghan, and daughter, Dalah, near Winlaw, in the West Kootenay region of southern interior British Columbia.
