The uneven ground on this house site made it too difficult to use scaffolding. Instead, ladder jacks gave us the range and flexibility we needed to install the tar paper and cedar siding up to 35 feet off the ground.
The ground around this house was backfilled but not smoothed, and site was on a hill as well, so we were working with different levels all over the place.
A set of ladder jacks clips onto two ladders, and we ran planks between them. The jacks could be adjusted to any height on the ladders, and with two stacked 2″ x 10″ planks attached to the jacks, we had a 16 foot span to work on.
